NHS App - patient access to NHS services - GP, Hospital and 111
Over thirteen million people across England have downloaded the NHS App [as at Oct 21], and use it as a 'single pane of glass' to manage their healthcare, and access NHS patient services.
Please read our articles on which services patients can access using the NHS App:
You can also use the NHS App to:
Manage your first outpatient appointment, if your GP has referred you to hospital
Manage how your medical records are shared by the NHS via the National Opt Out
Access to health advice on NHS.UK
And, if your GP surgery has turned on these features for your NHS App account, you can:
Access your latest lab test results
View your medical record [Detailed Care Record - DCR]
View the documents scanned onto your GP record
Switch from EMIS Patient Access, or another App, to the NHS App
EMIS Patient Access has a loyal following and has been around a long time. However, the NHS is focusing on adding more patient services to the NHS App and using it, and NHS Login, as a single digital platform for patients to access local and national services going forwards.
You can try out the NHS App alongside Patient Access without any problems.
Why not give it a try, view our download guide.
